Nine solid songs and I must say that I was surprised by the power of each song, rocker or ballad.

The guitarwork by Tony Clarkin is clearly present, but never overruling the rest of the band. A solid drum/bass-tandem by Harry James and Al Barrow gives the songs a good foundation. Functional keyboardsounds by Mark Stanway and of course the powerful voice of Bob Catley brings it all together!

The album opens with "Brand New Morning", a powerful song that has to be played loud! With rather easy interludes it's a good choice for the album-kick-off!
"It's Time To Come Together" goes on with the uptempo mood. An ambitious song, and if one had to choose for a single this one comes very close!
"We All Run", brings down the tempo a bit, and with nice vocalparts it stands as a song, but still with power!
"The Blue And The Grey" is a fine Magnum-ballad, lower the lights and listen! A nice combination of Spanish and electric guitar.
The fifth one, "I'd Breathe For You", continues the "easy-power" that characterises the Magnum-sound. Good song.
"The Last Goodbye" starts easy but then it blows your speakers with a very straight rhythm. The song will linger in your mind!
Almost every song on this album has something that is recognizable. "Immigrant Son" has this, as well as "Hard Road". Power is here the keyword (bass and drums), combined with subtle guitar and keyboards, and again this Catley-voice!
Brings me to the last one, "The Scarecrow", which is an almost 10 minute-song, embroiding on a theme that, in my opinion, takes too much time. Skip the half of it or leave the endpart, which could be another song, but then much shorter than this one!

Overall it's a good and powerful album, well produced by Tony Clarkin, one that must be in your Magnum-collection. Without a doubt it will be nice to hear this guys live, because this kind of music lends itself to an evening with some loud volume!! Don't forget to take a Magnum!! Cheers!!
